Long Acre, Balcultry, Swords, Co. DublinThis house has two systems installed as it had two separate hot water cylinders. We installed the ‘Shentai’ vacuum tubes that are heating the water to over 50 degrees consistently since being installed. There are 30 tubes on a 250 litre cylinder. Donabate, Co. DublinThere are two adults living in this house. The solar system provides more than adequate hot water throughout the year for daily showers. The system also generates enough hot water to fill the hot tub for nine months of the year. The energy bills in this household were over €3200 per annum and with the introduction of the solar system their bills have come down to €2200 per annum. Navan Road, Dublin 7This house has a 250 litre stainless steel cylinder. The house is facing South/Southwest and has 45 ‘Shentai’ tubes installed. The reason we installed 45 tubes was to compensate for not being due South. The temperature of the water has been over 50 degrees since it was installed. There are 7 people living in this house and there is enough hot water for everyone to shower every morning without having to turn on the gas or immersion. For approximately 9 months of the year this household will not have to use electricity or gas to heat their water. In the winter time they only have to top up their cylinder as temperatures rise to over 30 degrees. Before the system was installed their energy bills were over €3000 per year, now they are down to the just under €2000. Kells, Co. MeathThis system is using watt flat plate panels to generate hot water and also space heating through underfloor heating. There are six panels fed into two seperate cylinders. One cylinder is for hot water and the other cylinder for the underfloor heating. If you would like additional information on this system please do not hesitate to contact us. Delvin, Co. WestmeathThis was a new build house where we supplied the system only. It was two Watt flat plate panels and 210 stainless steel cylinder. Gorey, Co. WexfordThis is quite a large house in Gorey, Co. Wexford and they have installed two panels and a 210litre cylinder. There is only two people living in this house and it provides them with more than adequate hot water for both of them throughout the year. This system proves that it is not always necessary to put large systems into larger households. It usually depends on the amount of people per house. Usually the larger the system the higher amounts of energy you would use in winter time. That's why we recommend that a consultant visits your premises to advise you on the best system to install. |
